Few things in life pay bigger divedends than education and few things educate more effectively than purposeful educational travel. 

Your donation will provide scholarships to scholars which will facilitate the opportunities for them to participate in educational tours, reach literary goals, and/or assisting with other educational passions. Deepen Your Learning only supports quality programs that yield a high return on investment in both time and money.  

The educational tours will take scholars away from their usual environment and help open their eyes and hearts to see, feel, and touch a whole new world of discovery. These tours will also inspire personal change and also help them make global connections. Scholars will see history come alive and be able to solve the 'Mystery of History' in their own mind. We aim to change hearts, change attitudes and, as needed, correct feelings of entitlement as scholars are made aware of the needs of others around the world.

Deepen Your Learning also supports literary and other educational passions and only accepts high quality applications.

Applicants and program participants will be selected based on their passion for their education, leadership ability, financial need, and their drive for wanting to serve their community or in other parts of the world. 

Your donation will support scholars who qualify for participation in the program and who are unable afford it. Our application process helps determine financial need as well as the participant’s desire to engage and serve. 

Awarded candidates are asked to show their commitment to making their community and the world a better place, by creating and implementing a service initiative in their area. Applicants will present their service idea as part of their program application. 

Scholars applying for educational tours must also study and prepare for the tour by participating in a special pre-tour preparation course which will help them maximize their experience. 

Deepen Your Learning is passionate about education, educational travel, and in making it available to those with the true desire to learn and serve (scholar hearts).

DYL only supports programs that provide powerful educational expereinces that are calculated to produce change and improvement in the participant and in the world. 

Current programs supported by DYL include the  Gather-NOW Programs, Youth Humanitarian Leadership Week with Cultiva, and Youth Wilderness Experiences (YWE) because these programs align with Deepen Your Learning philosophies and follow the 'Three P's: 

People, Plan and Purpose'.

• People: Team of people who live in and understand the area of travel (safety and stability)

• Plan: Specific curriculum that supports deeper education (not just a trip)

• Purpose: Humanitarian service or educational, cultural, spiritual, linguistic or historical immersion activities/learning specific to the tour location

*Feel the Power of Place in sacred space

* Meet and gain appreciation for new friends

* Learn about foods, world cultures, and customs from other countries 

* Build an etiquette base

The purpose of our litearary and educational programs is to deepen experiences, grow knowledge, and facilitate opportunities for scholars to better themselves and better their community.  We want to support scholars in making their literary and educational dreams come true. 

We support tried and true programs and are open for scholars (and others) to create or present programs that will facilitate these goals and objectives. 

90%+ of donation dollars go directly to the educational tour or sponsoring organization which provides the educational opportunity and experience for the scholar. (It does not go to the scholar themselves, but will be applied in the name of the specific scholar). 

Only up to 10% will be used to cover program expenses such as participant selection, pre-tour programs, service project monitoring, and post tour & post goal follow up.

Deepen Your Learning will then send you a Written Acknowledgement Letter for tax purposes.  

After the educational goal (tour, literary goal, or other educational passion) is complete, you will also receive a Report of Impact. In this way you will be able to join in the joy and power of your donation dollars at work. It will also keep you informed and help you understand the impact and power of your contribution.
